The Very Group, which operates digital retailer Very.co.uk, won Best Place to Work and Best Retailer with revenue over £250m at the Retail Week Awards 2022 last night (26 May).

The prestigious event, which is one of the most highly anticipated awards ceremonies in the retail calendar, celebrates the innovation, vision, resilience and drive behind the industry’s greatest achievements.

Taking place at London’s Old Billingsgate, the awards saw Very crowned a winner alongside other retailers including Tesco, ASOS and Hello Fresh.

The Retail Week judges said of The Very Group: “They know who their customers are and they’re excellent at serving them. Their passionate commitment to their people also comes through loud and clear.”

Henry Birch, CEO of The Very Group, commented: “I am proud of everything our teammates have achieved. They’ve shown ingenuity and commitment over the last 18 months to support our customers, and I’m delighted those efforts have been recognised.

“We’ve also prioritised the needs of our people and our customers through embracing and investing in our new ways of working, focusing on wellbeing and efforts to bring our people closer to our customers. Being handed best place to work is fantastic acknowledgement of this work.
