The Very Group gains menopause friendly accreditation

April 21, 2026

The Very Group, which operates digital retailers Very and Littlewoods, has been accredited as a menopause friendly employer by Henpicked: Menopause in the Workplace

Praised for creating an inclusive and supportive environment, The Very Group’s employment policies, practices, culture, work environment and training programmes were assessed by an independent panel which commended the Group for its efforts in raising awareness of menopause in the workplace.

As part of Very’s ongoing commitment to overcoming the taboo around menopause, the Group has introduced a number of resources to support those navigating menopause – either first hand or via their teammates and family members.

This support includes the creation of a menopause awareness guide and an E-learning module for all colleagues. What’s more, the women at Very (WAVE) colleague network hosts regular events to raise awareness and offer guidance to those needing further support.

Sarah Willett, chief people officer at The Very Group commented: “I’m extremely proud that we’ve been formally accredited as a menopause friendly employer. Here at Very, we work hard to foster an inclusive workplace where people feel welcomed, represented and valued through every stage of life. So, to receive recognition for our ongoing commitment from an organisation like Henpicked is such a meaningful milestone in our journey toward building a truly inclusive workplace.”

The Menopause Friendly Accreditation was established by Henpicked: Menopause In The Workplace in 2021 to certify high standards and proven practices that embrace menopause in the workplace.

Deborah Garlick, CEO of Henpicked: Menopause in the Workplace said: “I’m delighted to recognise The Very Group as a Menopause Friendly Accredited employer. Their commitment is woven into their culture and values, chosen by their people and brought to life through visible leadership, open conversations and practical support. This is about more than policy. By listening to colleagues and responding with meaningful action, The Very Group is creating a workplace where menopause can be talked about openly and colleagues feel supported to thrive.”
