Five ways Very is enhancing the customer experience with Muktar Mahama

As a pure-play digital retailer, we’re always working hard to create the best possible end-to-end experience for our customers across our websites and mobile app.

We’re continuously enhancing how we use our technology to enhance the digital journey for our customers, and right now we’re going through our biggest-ever digital transformation. In fact, all the work we do in the DCX team revolves around our purpose of helping families get more out of life.   

With that in mind, here are just five exciting developments we’ve been working on. 

Helping customers make more-informed purchases

Across some of our most popular bands we’ve started to introduce river content. This is essentially branded image-led content which helps to give our customers more-information about the products they’re looking at, helping them to make the right buying decisions.

Enhancing how our customers browse and buy beauty

Earlier this year we launched our Beauty Studio which saw us overhaul how customers navigate and experience our Beauty range, allowing them to shop by trend, ingredient, and brand. The Beauty Studio was soon followed by the introduction of the Beauty Inspiration Hub, the home to a collection of educational and aspirational blog-style content to inspire customers, again transforming the browsing experience. 

Using AI to improve the search experience

We’ve invested in an AI product discovery platform, meaning customers are served personalised product suggestions we know they’ll love based on their shopping behaviours.

Introducing personalised offers on our app

We know that our customers are always on the lookout for a bargain, which is why we’ve introduced personalised in-app offers. Plus, as well as every day offers, we like to celebrate key calendar dates too, so over Christmas 2024 we launched our 12 days of Christmas initiative, offering customer bespoke deals. We did something similar over Easter too.

These are just a handful of initiatives we’ve been working on recently to enhance the customer experience, but there’s lots of exciting new launches in the pipeline, so stay tuned!
