Very’s CPO Sarah Willett and marketing exec Crystal Harvie named among Northern Power Women 2023

February 9, 2023

The Very Group’s chief people officer, Sarah Willett, and marketing planning executive, Crystal Harvie, have been named on the Northern Power Women’s prestigious annual Power List and Future List 2023, which mark the incredible contributions of women who are raising the bar for gender equality at work.

Sarah, who has been at Very since 2009 and joined the executive board in 2019, features on the Power List which recognises ‘trailblazers’ who challenge the norm and champion gender balanced workplaces. Crystal, who co-chairs Very’s colleague-led RAVE (Race at Very) network alongside her role in marketing, has been highlighted as a future influencer and changemaker with a place on the Future List.

Northern Power Women is a collaborative campaign to accelerate gender diversity and social mobility from the North of England. It aims to transform the culture of workplaces, increase opportunities for women, showcase role models, and highlight best practice among organisations that are helping to drive and lead economic growth.

Sarah Willett said: “I’m proud to be recognised on the Power List alongside so many other fantastic women. I believe in working together to drive cultural change around diversity and inclusion and will continue to champion that at Very. We’ve already delivered some brilliant progress against our D&I commitments and remain focussed on driving progress even further.”

Crystal Harvie commented: “I feel honoured to be part of the Northern Power Women's Future List, and proud to see the great work our RAVE (Race at Very) network has done be recognised in this way. As co-chair of the network, I’ll keep using the platform I have to create positive change.”
