Very plans plus size fashion expansion as new brand launches drive 75% sales growth

December 20, 2021

Digital retailer Very.co.uk, operated by The Very Group, has announced plans to further expand its plus size fashion offer after retail sales for the category rose 75% year-on-year since July 2021, boosted by the additions of Yours, Evans, City Chic and Avenue.

The retailer, which currently sells 90 plus size brands, is gearing up to partner with even more brands in 2022 and increase the number of products available across all price points. Very will also continue to grow V by Very Curve, its extensive own-brand range, which offers 400 fashion items up to size 32.

More than 420,000 customers have shopped plus size via the retailer since July 2021, with customer searches for ‘plus size’ and ‘curve’ on Very’s website up 14% year-on-year for the last 12 months.

Emma Alexander, fashion director at The Very Group, said: “We’re focused on creating a fashion offer that helps real women feel confident every day, whatever their clothes size. Expanding our plus size ranges is an important part of making our overall fashion offer even more diverse and we’re excited to be adding more brands at pace.”
